THE THREE NORNS is particularly useful in giving an overall picture of an issue. It places the issue in its context by showing the events that have led up to it, the issue itself and, finally, the most likely future outcome. It is named after three sisters who weave the thread of human destiny - Norn Urd (past), Norn Verdandi (present) and Norn Skuld (future).

The left rune indicates a situation in the past, which led to this situation;

The right rune indicates the future development of the situation in the future or how this situation will be resolved.

This layout is used to ponder far-reaching and long-term plans in order to get as much detail as possible about the background of an exciting problem.
