When you have natal Jupiter in 8th house or in Scorpio you will acquire fame/wealth through other people, through death (inheritance), through occult practices and/or through work that is literally connected with death (coroner, gravedigger, pathologist...)
Many consider people with ♃ in 8th house/♏️ to be very lucky because they inherit insane amounts of money without having to do anything (simply by being born in a rich family or having a rich father...) but they forget that each house/sign in which ♃ resides brings about a certain amount of luck and/or fame, the only difference is the manner through which that luck manifests.
So, for example, a 6th house ♃ person might think about being envious of someone's big inheritance on the surface, but if that person digs deep enough she will discover that even if she inherited a similar amount of money she wouldn't feel fulfilled or even happy if she didn't find a way to serve other people with it (♃ in 6th house/♍️ is servitude, attaining fame through serving other people).
Instead of envying other people's luck (aka their ♃ position), you should instead discover your own ♃'s position and begin looking at luck through your own house and sign in which ♃ resides.
Side note: once you've pinpointed the house and sign of your natal ♃, you can do a ritual to Fortuna; for eg.: if your natal Jupiter is indeed in 8th house or in Scorpio you might want to visit your ancestor's burial grounds, leave some offerings. Make a home altar dedicated to your ancestors and family members that have passed on (similar as in Japanese culture) and make sure to leave home-cooked offerings on big festivals/celebrations/Sabbaths to include them in the celebrations. Samhain (more popularly known as Halloween) is a very important Sabbath and you people with ♃ in 8th/♏️ can use its energies for great things and manifesting properties. You could also connect with Hades and seek his favor since he is the Lord of the Underworld, but to the mere onlookers he is just that, but to the real knowers of the deep and arcane arts, he is also the Lord of Jewels, Silver, Gold and all the riches that lie in our mother Earth's fertile belly; so you would do well to seek his favor and prove yourself worthy of such feat :)
